Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
Section titled “1. Acceptance”By installing or using N2O (“the Software”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
2. Description of Service
Section titled “2. Description of Service”N2O is an Obsidian community plugin that provides bidirectional synchronization between Notion workspaces and Obsidian vaults. The Software communicates directly with the Notion API using your personal integration token.
3. License Grant
Section titled “3. License Grant”N2O is released under the MIT License. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software in accordance with the MIT License terms.
Pro Features
Section titled “Pro Features”Certain features (“Pro Features”) require a paid license:
- Pro Monthly: $8/month — access to all Pro features.
- Pro Lifetime: $249 one-time — permanent access to all Pro features.
- Free Trial: 14-day trial of Pro features, available once per user.
A Pro license key is non-transferable and valid for one user. License keys are purchased and managed through Gumroad.
4. Free Tier
Section titled “4. Free Tier”The free tier provides:
- Notion to Obsidian sync (pull only)
- Up to 100 synced items
- Unlimited databases
- All supported block types and property types
The free tier is available indefinitely at no cost.
5. Payment & Billing
Section titled “5. Payment & Billing”- All payments are processed by Gumroad (gumroad.com).
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through Gumroad.
6. Refund Policy
Section titled “6. Refund Policy”- A free version and 14-day Pro trial (no credit card required) are available to try before purchasing.
- No refunds will be issued for any purchases.
- All sales are final.
7. Your Data
Section titled “7. Your Data”- N2O is local-first — all synced content is stored on your device.
- N2O does not collect, store, or transmit your content to any server other than Notion’s official API.

- You are solely responsible for the content you sync and for maintaining backups.
8. Notion API Dependency
Section titled “8. Notion API Dependency”- N2O relies on the Notion API to function. Changes to the Notion API may affect N2O’s functionality.
- N2O is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc.
- Notion’s API rate limits, availability, and terms of service apply to your use of N2O.
- We are not responsible for Notion API downtime, changes, or data loss on Notion’s side.
9. Obsidian Dependency
Section titled “9. Obsidian Dependency”- N2O is an Obsidian community plugin and requires Obsidian to function.
- N2O is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Obsidian (Dynalist Inc.)
- Obsidian’s terms of service and plugin guidelines apply.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Section titled “10. Disclaimer of Warranties”THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Sync operations will always be perfectly accurate.
- The Software will be compatible with all future versions of Notion or Obsidian.
11. Limitation of Liability
Section titled “11. Limitation of Liability”IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.
12. Modifications
Section titled “12. Modifications”We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
Section titled “13. Termination”- You may stop using N2O at any time by uninstalling the plugin.
- We may terminate or suspend access to Pro features if license terms are violated.
- Upon termination, your locally synced content remains in your vault.
14. Open Source
Section titled “14. Open Source”The N2O source code is available under the MIT License. Community contributions are welcome and governed by the same license.
